KANYE WEST SUBMITS DOCS TO LEGALLY CHANGE HIS NAME TO YE

On the eve of his latest Chicago homecoming, Kanye West is in headlines for an attempt to change his name.

Kanye has filed documents in Los Angeles, which would change his name from Kanye Omari West to only “Ye.” TMZ states the decision is now in the hands of a judge and if successful, the Hip-Hop icon will be known as Ye.

TMZ notes the only hindrance of a name change is evidence of an attempt to commit fraud. With that likely, not the case, Ye is on the way
