2. Hocus Pocus – $1.9 million

Tenet was the number-one movie at the box office for a fifth straight weekend with only $2.7 million. According to Forbes, that’s the lowest top-ranked release since A Fish Called Wanda and Die Hard both earned around $2.55 million in September 1988. With another $14.7 million overseas, the Chris Nolan flick has passed $300 million at the worldwide box office.
The re-release of the 1993 cult classic Hocus Pocus opened in second with $1.9 million.
The New Mutants dropped from second to third with $1 million, while Unhinged went from third to fourth with $870,000 and Infidel stayed put in fifth with $455,000.
