BOX OFFICE FORECAST

The animated movie DC League of Super-Pets will claw its way to the top of the box office. Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Kate McKinnon voice the four-legged friends of the Justice League superheroes. Revenue from 4300 theaters this weekend could reach $25 million.

The other new release will hardly make a dent at the box office. The black comedy, Vengeance, will screen at fewer than 1000 locations. Tickets sales may reach $2 million.

The UFO thriller NOPE should drop to second place. Expectations are for a $15 million haul.

The Michelle Yeoh multiverse action-comedy, Everything Everywhere All at Once, earns a second release with an additional eight-minutes.  Finally, by this time next week, Top Gun: Maverick will have surpassed Jurassic World and Titanic to reach 7th on the all-time box-office chart with nearly $700 million.
