BOX OFFICE FORECAST
Written by KingCnote on January 31, 2020
Two new releases cannot compete against the football game in Miami. Americans tend to stay home on Super Bowl Sunday and even the night before, which depresses mega-plex attendance.
Expect to see Bad Boys for Life as the number-one movie for the third straight weekend. Followed by an Academy Award Best Picture frontrunner, 1917, landing in second place, again.
The fantasy horror film, Gretel & Hansel based on the Grimm fairy tale, will earn around $8 million. Blake Lively stars in a revenge thriller, The Rhythm Section, which might make $5 million in its debut. (Variety)
