However, it faces headwinds due to weak social media buzz. Also, Will Smith became the butt of Twitter jokes when his blue genie appeared the first time in the commercial played during the Grammys. Over at Disney’s YouTube channel, dislikes nearly double the number of likes the TV ad.
Rotten Tomatoes scores Aladdin as only 59 (out of 100).
Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein star in the R-rated teen comedy Booksmart, which has a 99 at Rotten Tomatoes. Booksmart will debut near $12 million.
Slightly ahead of Booksmart will be the horror flick Brightburn that ought to earn more than $15 million over Memorial Day. (The Wrap)
