FETTY WAP: Life Sentence for Drug Trafficking?

Written by on November 1, 2021

The “Trap Queen” rapper Fetty Wap faces life in prison. He’s indicted on federal charges that he “transported, distributed and sold addictive drugs.”

His attorney hinted at a potential plea deal while a judge ordered Fetty Wap held without bail. He pleaded not guilty to distribution of more than 200 pounds of heroin, fentanyl and crack cocaine.

Thursday night, at CitiField in New York City, the FBI arrested Fetty right before a scheduled performance at Rolling Loud. Fetty Wap was among five guys nabbed in the “multimillion-dollar bicoastal drug distribution organization.”

They allegedly shipped narcotics from the West Coast to Long Island. An official with the FBI’s New York office said (quote) “The fact that we arrested a chart-topping rap artist and a corrections officer as part of the conspiracy illustrates just how vile the drug trade has become.” (Entertainment Tonight)
