CLASSROOM ASSAULT: Substitute Teacher Arrested

We worry about our kids’ safety in schools, but you never want to think the threats could come from teachers.

A substitute teacher in Kyle, Texas was fired and arrested Friday after allegedly assaulting a high school student. Disturbing video online shows Tiffani Shadell Lankford throwing several punches at the student and then stomping on his head when he falls to the floor. There’s no word on what prompted the attack.

School officials say Lankford had undergone training and passed a background check before beginning work in Kyle in September. (NBC News)
