Bella Hadid Got Two New Shoulder Tattoos | Teen Vogue

Written by on November 26, 2020

Bella Hadid knows that once you start getting tattoos, it’s hard to stop. The model just added to her collection of body art with two new, extremely delicate shoulder tattoos, and they seem to have sentimental value.

On November 22, Dr. Woo, the artist behind the pretty pieces, gave fans a peek at Bella’s latest ink additions. The celebrity fave tattoo artist posted two pics of Bella’s new ink to his Instagram account, writing, “Some writings for the always kind and lovely Bella Hadid.”

In the photos, we see two Arabic phrases; according to PopSugar, they read “I love you” and “my love.” Both are written in a super-fine style that’s subtle and elegant, and they look just lovely on Bella’s shoulders. The tattoos are most likely to honor Bella’s Arabic roots; her father, Mohamed Hadid, is Palestinian-American.

Earlier this month, Bella teased the new art with an Instagram Story post on November 14, where she tagged Dr. Woo as she posed in the tattoo chair, wearing a Playboy tank top and khaki cargo pants. We also got a glimpse of the tattoos via one of her latest IG posts, where Bella showed off both her outfit and her New York City apartment decor on November 20, including her penchant for Totem candles.

Bella, unlike many of her celebrity pals, doesn’t have many tattoos. In January of 2017, she inked a pair of angel wings on her ankles, and later that year, added a rose on her elbow. For the most part, she favors teeny-tiny, delicate tattoos; her fellow model Kaia Gerber is also a fan of rocking minuscule body art. Will the shoulder tattoos spark more designs for Bella? We’ll be keeping an eye on her Instagram Stories for more hints!
